Christmas 2013 I gave away two gift certificates to two lucky families. This is one of them; I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet you guys, it was my pleasure to be the first to photograph you two. I hope you have many more years of happiness and I hope you guys love your photos.
Baby Isaac, before you arrived; you were prayed for, you were longed for, you were loved way before you made your arrival to this world. There are so many people around you that love you and only want the best for you. I hope for only good things for you; I hope you grow up knowing how special you are and just how amazing you are to have two of the best parents in the world to call your own.
The Lawrence family session was a magical one. I could not be happier with how spectacular these photos came out. We went to the same location as Nancy's pregnancy reveal photos as were even able to "recreate" a few photos. Lola was an absolute joy to work with she was so focused and well behaved; such a special dog. Isaac is very lucky to have such an amazing family to call his own.
Mt. Fuji is the largest mountain in Japan, it also happens to be an active volcano and one of the most iconic images known to Japan. It would only make sense to capture a moment in time in front of Mt. Fuji right? Well, It made sense to us. :) I have known Ms. Aria since she was a teeny tiny baby, technically I have known her before that because I knew about her since her mom was pregnant with her, she has never been big on smiling for the camera so it was quite the surprise when I was able to capture these images for the Chatigny family. Aaron, Chelsea, & Aria; I hope you enjoy the moments I have given you; it was my pleasure to spend my day with you guys and snap this moment of history you will have for a lifetime. Soon it will be two beautiful baby girls that you are running after, my only regret is I wont be here to witness that moment in time when your new baby makes her arrival. I wish for only the best for you and your family and wish you all nothing but happiness. Enjoy these moments; these moments are your life.
Sometimes its not about the perfect moment, sometimes its about seeing the perfections in an imperfect moment. Life is not perfect nor will it ever be, that is something we must teach our children, to strive for the best life but not a perfect life. Its okay to fall down, but you must get back up.
Today I spent the afternoon in beautiful Showa Park with the McAlexander Clan. Gabby & Caroline are the greatest! Seriously, they are amazing I just love them, they are sweet, kind, beautiful, well behaved & oh so energetic. However just like all children they get grumpy, hungry, irritable, & cold. While the picture to the left may not be the "perfect photo" for most it is perfect for me, its real. Real moments happen and while you will have a million and one smiling staring straight at the camera photos hanging on your wall, how many will you have with one of your children crying? Probably not many, my point with this is these moments are precious, they are fleeting, before you know it your babies are grown and will soon be off to make their own adventures. Cherish the little imperfect moments because these moments are your life. Gabby & Caroline you two are spectacular, you have the two best parents in the world because they love you both unconditionally and would move heaven & earth for you two. Don't grow up too fast because your parents are just trying to keep up. Jill & Anthony, always cherish the little moments, your babies are little now but they wont be little forever. They are two amazing kids and you are both so lucky to have them, I hope you both enjoy the moments in time I have captured for y'all, it was my pleasure to spend the day with your spectacularly beautiful family.

The Murray Family
My dear sweet Raeghan,
You are my inspiration, you are my greatest accomplishment and I will always love you more then you can ever imagine.
everyday you grow more, everyday you learn more, everyday you are changing and becoming more and more like your own person. I used to wish for you to walk, to start talking, to stand on your own. Now I dread the day you learn something new because it is one more step away from me.
I wish for only good things for you. I hope to raise you to know its okay to ask questions;
question everything and anything.
its okay to argue with someone else's idea of correct.
If you don't know the answer, find it.
Live life to the fullest.
Stand up for the weak, be strong
Be a friend to all.
Don't be afraid to stand out.
follow your dreams, not someone elses.
be your own idea of perfect, not societies.
LOVE OUT LOUD.
Love Mom <3
I have personally known Leslie and her little family for two years. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Leslie throughout my time in Japan, I am very sad to see her family go but I know they are off to make new adventures and besides this isn't goodbye, this is see you later! We live in a very small world and I am sure we will see each other again. Best of luck Leslie & Roven, you have a beautiful family! Enjoy watching your children grow because before you know it they will be grown!
The best advice I can give any new parent is to do what you feel is right. No one can tell you the "right" way to raise your child, only you and your spouse can make that decision. Sure advice from everyone is always welcomed and sometimes needed but you can't get bogged down by everyone else's right and wrong. Remember to follow your heart, babies do not come with instruction manuals. You must have faith in your abilities to raise your child and remember you will make mistakes and you will mess up but none of that will stop you from loving your child more than anyone else in the entire world. Love is enough.
Jameia & Stanley; I have not known you two for years, but I can tell that love grows inside you both everyday. Your son is extremely lucky to have two parents who are whole heartily in love with him and will dedicate their lives for him. Go thru life loving each other but most of all love your family as it grows and changes. Best of luck to you both as you welcome your new bundle of joy into this world, your son is extremely lucky to have you two as parents.
“Thankfulness creates gratitude which generates contentment that causes peace.”
I have personally known the Ueckers for two years, I have watched Dominic grow from an infant into a rambunctious toddler who does not like the camera. I have been privileged to see Matteo blossom into a extremely happy mobile infant who loves to put anything and everything into his mouth. Francecso was only a toddler when I met him and now he is the best big brother you will ever meet! The Uecker brothers continue to grow and amaze me everyday. They are becoming such spectacular young boys and I am so blessed to be a part of their life. Nicole and Alan are extremely lucky parents to have such wonderful children. While our day did not start off or end easy I will take the joyous moments from this session and remember the fun we had. Even with three rescheduled sessions, a flat tire & no spare, a bee sting, & a swollen hand; You made moments with your children that they will forever carry with them in their heart. Thank you for spending your day with me, I hope everyone enjoys these photos as much as I enjoyed being a part of this moment in time.
A note to all parents with children----Life is never perfect and striving for a perfect life will only end in heartache because it is unreachable. Enjoy the imperfect moments, bask in the inconsistent laughter and silly times, look back at these photos and remember the fun, remember the moment, because these moments are your life. One day they are going to be too big to hold on your shoulders, too mobile to carry, & too opinionated to listen. Enjoy them while they are little because before you know it they wont be little anymore and you are going to miss this.-
Memories In My Mind
I just met Tim & Bri on Sunday, I do not know much about them but a blind man could see the love growing between these love birds. Tim popped the questions on Saturday April 6, 2014 and Bri said "yes!" I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love thru out the journey ahead of them. I am so honored they asked me to share in this joyous occasion. Please take a moment and see the love blooming between these two! I hope you enjoy. <3
